woke up

left home with lappy and a big packet of "about-to-thaw" green peas..

7.10am
reached school..

morning assembly

7.40am
let mrs lim vet my dna lesson again.. no prob, so i went to print the worksheets for the class..

8.00am
went back to staff room.. marked my 3e2 maths homework.. not bad, i took only 20 mins.. but it was not a difficult homework to mark though.. hee.. =)

9.10am
went with mayling to the chemistry lab to try out our data-logging experiment.. mr koo is still as nice.. helped us prepared the stuffs without complaints.. hee.. we did a bit, den had to go do relief teaching together already..

10.40am
relief lesson with 1t2.. they kids are really very young.. haha.. not my first time with sec 1s, but this class of kids really look younger.. oh well, not all of them la.. they were verynoisy.. me and mayling tried to ask them to read their social studies textbook but many din bring the book.. wats worse was that none of them was really reading the book..mayling said that the textbook was really wordy, if it's her, she oso wun read.. true.. but wat to do? after that we try to get them to sth for us.. mayling asked them to write a few sentences abt racial harmony.. and we had a hard time getting them to take out their foolscap paper.. haiz.. and so, they each wrote a few words.. it was really bad when we saw what they wrote.. many of them dun haf a good command of english.. i feel very sad.. why like that?when alex came in to relief another class, he was laughing at the papers.. he horz.. so nasty..

11.40am
mayling went for lesson.. i went to prepare my green peas.. blended my green peas with water.. sieve the pulp away.. pour the green liquid into many small beakers.. lucky i did so.. cos rite after i finished all these.. the fire alram rang.. and the time is 12.40pm.. ahhhhh.. tats supposed to be the start of my lesson!!! my practical lesson!!! ahhhhh.. dumm! and so i went down to the field where the students were supposed to assemble..

they made the students go from the field to the parade square..

1.00pm
i decided to go back to my lab and not listened to the stupid talk by the school..

1.05pm
1e3 came to lab.. was trying to set up the projector but apparently, it din work.. even the IT rep could not help me.. haiz, sec 1s.. still young.. nvm, i shall go without the powerpoint then.. by the way, mr rashidin was on mc todae so he was not ard to help me.. i started the experiment anyway.. only had like 30mins to finish the entire things.. so i told wat to do step by step.. it's their first experiment, according to them, so lucky i din say, "go ahead and follow the instruction.." haha.. so we did the dna extraction.. they were very excited when i told them we are extracting dna todae.. and when they really saw the dna, they were like so happy.. hee.. =) after that, i asked them to clear up.. never trust the sec 1s to clear up!!! they make a even bigger mess.. and a group actually broke 2 beakers.. lucky not serious, juz record will do.. but they were quite scared when the beakers broke.. oh well.. anyway, i ended a bit after time, no choice.. but it's ok, the next class is a relief lesson - 3e2.. and so, i din go thru the prac questions with 1e3 but told them to go home and do..

3e2 was here.. and 1e3 was still slowly strolling out of the lab.. haiz.. ok, since it's 3e2, i decided to 讨 my maths homework from them.. wahaha.. they said, "teacher, bio lesson cannot do maths.." haha.. anyway, i din take very long.. only abt 10mins.. after that, i gave them the bio relief worksheets to do.. and so they did.. mayling came and stayed in the lab preparation room continuing the data-logging experiment.. anyway, cos they were doing the bio worksheets, some of them asked a few questions.. erm, actually, i wasn't sure of the ans.. but i tried my best la.. haiz.. i feel like i'm a lousy bio teacher.. but when one of the boys asked me a maths, i could very confidently tell him how to do.. haiz..

2.40pm
ok, finally, the lesson is over.. but my day had not ended yet.. still had to continue the data-logging things.. but well, i was rewarded with chocolates by mayling.. haha.. her leftovers from a quiz with a class.. and so we try to settle the lab things with the lab assistants..

3.20pm
went to staff room.. edited the experiment draft using lappy again.. no lunch todae again.. =(

4.30pm
went home..

4.45pm
reached home.. no food at home but 爷爷 abt to cook dinner already.. ate some bread, watched tv.. waited for dinner..

6.15pm
ate dinner..

6.40pm
went to sleep..

9.26pm
woke up by my handphone.. it's d.d... i talked to him in my half-awake, half-asleep mode.. after that i went back to sleep..

11.30pm
woke up.. still very sleepy, but i haven bathe.. and i was kinda hungry.. ate some biscuits.. went to bathe, and started writing my blog..

at the end of the day..
so glad that my dna project ended with a positive note.. =) conducting a prac lesson was a challenge.. a lot of things to prepare, to execute and to clear up.. i'm lucky that mrs lim showed me how she conducts prac lesson last week.. otherwise i wld haf been in a bigger mess.. now only left with the data-logging thing.. and i hope tmr there is no relief teaching.. but if there isn't, den i wld haf nothing to do at all.. haiz.. tmr den see how..
