school attachment starts tomorrow!!! *excited* *nervous* suddenly, i feel like i'm a student, waiting for the new school term to start tomorrow.. clothes neatly ironed, bag packed, done a bit of homework (dunno if i had done enough).. ahhhhh.. *excited* *nervous* haha.. anyway, i kinda know what project i was supposed to do during my attachment already..

Title of Project:
A hands-on investigation into DNA
Objective & Synopsis of Project:
This project culminates into a lesson package that will enable pupils to
· Construct a model of the DNA
· Extract DNA
· Package and present their learning using IT Media such as web-based/powerpoint
The target group for this project is the lower secondary pupils.

Fun with DataLoggers
Objective & Synopsis of Project:
This project culminates into a lesson package that will enable pupils to
· Use dataloggers in field trips
The target group for this project is the Sec 1 to 3 secondary pupils.
On-site trials and actual field trip experiences for pupils are expected. The school pond and the hydroponics zone are open for on-site trials.
I thought the 1st project sound fun.. anyway, for the 2nd project, i will be doing it with another chemistry attachment teacher.. and this is the proposed schedule & programme for the attachment..
Proposed Schedule & Programme:
Day 1
5 July
- Introduction to Principal/Vice-Principal/Mentor(s)/Staff
- Briefing by Principal/Vice-Principal on school vision, mission, achievements and goals, school organisation structure and special programmes; how all these link with the vision and mission of MOE
- Informal sessions with the HODs and teachers
- Tour of the school premise and facilities- Briefing on Projects
Day 2 -3
6 - 7 July
- Classroom observations in different classes and stream
- Project Work
Day 4 - 10
8 - 18 July
- Hands-on teaching
- Project Work
- Conduct CCA lessons
- Attend Department Heads meeting
Day 11 - 13
19 - 21 July
- Project Work
- Participation in field trip
Day 14
22 July
- Project Presentation
- Sharing by scholar on experience in school
- De-brief by Principal- Farewell
ya.. kinda looking forward to this attachment.. and it starts tmr!!! *excited* *nervous* hee.. =p and tonite, i shall sleep early, maybe right after i finish with this post.. tmr must wake up at 6am, be in school by 7am.. ahhhh.. *excited* *nervous*
